Advanced Pistol Concepts 09/22/24
This course moves students beyond the basic fundamentals of marksmanship and into the martial sciences aspect of defensive pistol shooting. We began with a thorough safety audit of each student. Over the course of instruction, you are introduced to several new concepts to include establishing a consistent Master grip, a proper Draw Stroke and a Safe Re-Holstering of your firearm in all positions, Movement and alternative firing positions, engaging multiple threats, shooting from cover, Situational Awareness and Risk Management, and more! Prerequisites for this course are The Basics of Pistol Shooting course.

Gear Requirements:
Serviceable Semi-Automatic Pistol
Minimum 3 Magazines
300 rounds of factory ammunition (500 recommended)
Quality OWB(outside the waist band) holster- No Serpa holsters or No Uncle Mike’s holsters.
Eye and Ear Protection (electronic hearing protection recommended)
Basic gun cleaning kit
Appropriate range attire (to include rain coat)
Water, Snacks and a packed lunch.
An open mind and a positive attitude.
